From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft was enroute from farmington, new Mexico to laramie, Wyoming and was not able to land in laramie due to bad weather. The unforecasted weather required him to stay above the clouds to remain VFR and icing conditions prohibited him to request an IFR clearance. Consequently, the pilot diverted his flight with a new landing destination of Hayden, Colorado. During landing descent at Hayden, the aircraft loss power and forced the pilot to land approximately 2,000 yards short of the runway. Damage to the aircraft caused by the forced landing included bent propeller blades and the loss of the nose landing gear tire. There were no injuries to the pilot and the one passenger on-board. After the landing there was only 2 gallons in the left wing tank and 6 gallons in the right tank, privacy data omitted
