From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: I was going to make a glide-in approach (power off approach) on runway 24L. I had received a last wind check on downwind (330/10). This was the fourth glide-in of the day and I was doing touch and go's. on downwind I noticed Cessna 7AW on final approach on 24L, so I kept an eye on him for separation. I continued turning base leg keeping my eye on the Cessna. I started the procedure by closing the throttle and selecting gear down (it turned out I did not put the lever down). I can not remember checking for three greens and I did not notice the gear up annunciator and warning horn. Focused on the Cessna and making the runway. I did not actually do the landing checklist. I set propeller high RPM and left the mixture as it was due to the density altitude. I continued down and selected flaps 15 thus reducing to 85 knots when over the threshold. The Cessna was off the runway when I descended through 2700 feet (+/-300 ft AGL) so I continued into the landing. I started the flare and as I touched down the first thing I thought was a "flat tire". As soon as the prop hit the ground, stalling the engine, I realized the gear was not down. I immediately checked for three greens, which were not there and gear lever was in the up position. I moved to the side of the runway where I came for a complete stop. I called the tower, telling them I crashed on 24L and left the aircraft as smoke was coming in through the dashboard. I shut down all systems a few minutes later after help (fire services, etc.) Arrived. I am not sure whether I had selected flaps 30 on the last part before touching down.
