From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Fertilizing, engine cut out, black smoke, landed in field, wheels stuck in ground. Flipped over. (-23) investigation of the PZL-3 powerplant for improper operation revealed throttle arm travel was severely restricted. After replacing the polish typ AK 26-A carburetor with a like, same, serviceable item, operational check of the engine showed normal through all power settings. Internal inspection of the polish typ AK26-A, A10837, revealed the threaded accelerator pump nozzle had backed out of the fitting in the carburetor bowl and prevented movement of the throttle plate.
