From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Left of runway landing in crosswind failed to correct. Landed left edge threshold. Ran off, hit cacti, runway light (-23) the aircraft apparently touched down on the left apron of the runway during a northly landing attempt. During rollout, the aircraft continued veering left contacting a runway light with the right main landing gear while departing the runway hard surface. The left main landing gear apparently contacted several cactus shearing the left main wheel at the lower strut and causing the aircraft to spin further left prior to stopping. Additional d amage includes damage at the main landing gear strut to fuselage attach, left stabilizer and elevator damage.
