From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft was operated under FAR part 91 en-route to pick up passengers for a FAR part 135 flight. The orh airport was open and the control tower had not opened for business yet. The aircraft landed and struck snow bank at touch down. Snow bank was approx. 10FT. Left of runway center line and parallel with runway for full length. Snow bank was formed on runway for incomplete plowing operation. Appears that the orh snow removal supervisor notified bdl twr that the runway was clear of plowing vehicles but failed to notify bdl twr of the incomplete plowing condition of the runway. The aircraft experienced a collapse of the left main landing gear and subsequent contact with the runway of the left underside wing and propeller.

As the FAA filed it
