From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: while en-route klas to kabq south of pgs VOR pilot encountered severe turbulence. The main gear warning light came on. Cycling the gear failed to extinguish the warning lights, only the nose gear gave the correct lights. Pilot requested a deviation to a controlled field and canceled IFR. He performed the emergency gear down procedure and failed to get a green light on the mains. He flew past the tower and they advised the mains were extended. When pilot landed the main gear collapsed on rollout. No NMAC report filed. This report and investigation are closed.
