From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: at approximately 0936 local time a Cessna 402C aircraft operated by eagle canyon airlines, having registration N3283M, landed at mccarran international airport with the right main landing gear not extended. The aircraft landed on the left main and nose landing gear, and continued until the airplane slowed and the right engine hit the ground. There were six passengers and one crew member. No serious or minor injuries were noted or reported. All personnel were ushered from the airplane and taken to the passenger waiting area. The aircraft was jacked up by maintenance personnel and the right main landing gear door was forced open and the landing gear extended. The reason the gear did not open was a defective uplock actuator. The actuator was removed and replaced and the landing gear system operated normally. Malfunction or defect report on the up lock actuator. No NMAC or pilot deviation report filed. This report and investigation are closed.
