From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: this was a FAR part 61 solo training flight conducted under FAR part 91 flight rules. The student pilot initially took-off from Paine field, Everett, Washington, and departed the pattern to warm-up in the practice area. After a few minutes she re-entered the traffic pattern to runway 34R to do some touch and goes. During her second landing the aircraft bounced, she apparently did not hold the nose up and the nose wheel hit the runway breaking off at the fork, subsequently bending the motor mounts and damaging the prop. No damage to the firewall, cowling or belly. No injuries. Her CFI was howard hurley.
