From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on June 6, 1996 a champ 7GCBC registered to and piloted by carl e. zimin, privacy data omitted was involved in a taxiing incident at the Naknek AK airport. According to the pilot he made a left base for runway 14, landed, stopped and cleared the area. He then was taxiing to the ramp area which is across a gravel road not differentiated from the ramp. He noticed a fast moving vehicle creating a lot of dust and braked hard to avoid it. The aircraft went up on it's nose and hit the prop. Neither the pilot nor his passenger were injured. However the prop was bent. The pilot stated the driver was under age and had no drivers license. He further stated there aren't any signs for vehicles to yield to aircraft as there are at many airports in Alaska. I counseled the pilot on 6-14-96. This investigation is closed.
