From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: instructor was giving pilot check out (high performance/complex a/c) in E-182RG. They were doing touch and go's coming around for second touch & go. The pilot lowered gear but green gear down light did not illuminate. Pilots checked with mirror and observed mains down but nose gear not down. Tried several times to get gear down to no avail. Make gear up (nose gear) landing at air lake with minimum damage and no injuries. Suspect mechanical problem with nose gear. Requested m or d report from mechanics conducting work on gear. Will attempt to have an inspector observe gear test.
