From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: while boarding passengers at Moses Lake municipal airport, smoke was noticed coming from the ground power unit (gpu) plug into the aircraft. An airport fireman was in front of the aircraft providing assistance for airport security. The fireman removed the gpu plug from the aircraft and discharged a fire bottle into the gpu receptacle. Minor damage occurred to the gpu receptacle from a small fire. This small fire was caused by arcing from loose connections on the back of the gpu receptacle. The receptacle was changed and the aircraft was returned to service. This incident is now closed.
