From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: N3207V performed a partial power landing approximately 3 miles from the Bowling Green airport. Upon investigation it has been determined that the aircraft consumed fuel in excess of flight manual consumption rates. Low fuel supply caused the engine to run rough causing the pilot to make a precautionary landing in a field. There was no damage to the plane, persons or property. Aircraft was inspected, refueled and flown to the Bowling Green airport without further incident. Further inspections at the Bowling Green airport found no problems with the aircraft. The pilot has 300 hours in Cessna-150'S. However, he had just purchased this aircraft and was unfamiliar with it's particular fuel consumption which was higher than the aircraft manual. This led to the precautionary landing.

As the FAA filed it
