From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on 7-21-96 after landing the pilot taxied into a 2 1/2 foot high fuel pump. Prop damage and damage to engine cowl and left strut. Paint on the pump cover was faded and difficult to see. The FBO has agreed to repaint the cover, paint hash marks around the pump 2 feet outward, and install a flexible flag pole on the pump cover that helps identify the fuel pump. Investigation is closed.
