From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: after Landing, the PIC taxied to a beach area to secure the airplane. Heading toward the beach, the PIC stated he realized the water level was very high. The PIC added power to turn away from the beach location. The airplane was now in a river with a fast running current. The current carried the airplane toward a bridge piling. The left float hit the piling. The PIC stopped the engine. The airplane drifted between the pilings scraping the leading edge of the left wing. Clearing the bridge piling, the river opening became wider and the current slowed. The PIC started the airplane and taxied to a beach area and secured the airplane. The PIC found a telephone and called roc to report the incident. The airplane was inspected by the owners a & p and ferried back to soldotna for the minor repairs. This investigation is closed.
