From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: Mr. David orr stated that after landing, on rollout, the nose wheel collapsed. Investigation by Mr. Orr discovered the locking tab for the down lock was caught up in a wiring bundle under the instrument panel. This prevented the tab from actuating into place. The corrective action was to properly secure the wiring bundle to prevent it from drooping into the path of the down lock system. Damage limited to lower engine cowl, lower portion of rudder and wooden prop tips. No damage was done to airport property. This incident is closed.
