From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot landed on runway 02 and skidded off runway into a ditch causing minor damage to the right wing leading edge. Pilot reported that when he applied left brake nothing happened. Mechanic at scene stated that when he first applied the brake it felt "soft" but upon second application it was ok. He stated that the left brake disc was out-of-tolerance .010. Unable to confirm that the out-of-tolerance condition did not occur after the last annual inspection 07-25-96 tt 5288.8. Discussed with the mechanic the importance of checking the brake disc.
