From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated: he was attempting to land this plane at the Portage co. airport. That the circuit breaker on the landing gear kept popping and the gear would not go down, he tried the emergency gear extension but that failed also. He then notified the airport and landed the aircraft gear up on runway 27. The pilot and Mr. Staffeld an A&P mechanic who holds IA authorization stated to a/wing p. robert taylor, "that the gear will only run intermittantly (2 out of 3 times) and the gear position light is intermittantly inoperative. The circuit pops and the gear runs down when the circuit breaker is held in." Further investigation is on going.
