From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot reported that he felt that the aircraft had not accelerated enough to effect a safe takeoff. As a result he aborted the takeoff roll and ran off the end of the runway into a ditch the right main gear collapsed, prop tip was curled and right wing bent after hitting the ditch. There were no injuries or fire. Washington Island has grass runways. Runway 04/22 is 1840 feet long. The winds were reported as calm. The pilot reported that he had half tanks for fuel and one passenger. Performance, both pilot and aircraft are questionable.
