From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft executed a fly by of the tower, then a touch and go on runway 24, after reporting a gear problem and having manually lowered the gear while enroute to caldwell airport. The ARFF responded and after the successful touch and go the aircraft continued on to caldwell where it landed safely at 0020E. Upon initial inspection of the landing gear system packing MS28775-112 failed in nose gear actuator (pn 1280514-9). This allowed substantial loss of hydraulic fluid to gear system, when gear was retracted. Sufficient fluid remained in system to extend the gear to down position, however not enough fluid remained to build pressure to open pressure switch, which would shut off gear pump motor. Motor on pump continued to run until circuit breaker released. Gear was repaired. Ops check ok.

As the FAA filed it
