From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated that he was making a straight in arrival from the south landing onto runway 31R. He stated that he had been carrying a lot of power on the approach and that he did not hear the gear warning horn, but rather struck the runway with his tail skid. He immediately added full power and made a go around and landed uneventfully onto runway 31L. The pilot states that there is minor tail skid damage and minor scraping on the propeller, with no curling.
