From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: while taxiing horizon I, N246DV for takeoff, the pilot's attention was directed toward another taxiing aircraft by the front seat passenger. The second aircraft (another homebuilt) was no factor in the right-of-way of N246DV. While observing the second aircraft, the front seat passenger advised the pilot to "look out". At that time, the center of the left wing on N246DV made contact with the left wing tip of a parked Cessna 150, N8850S. The propeller of N246DV then struck the left aileron of N8850S. Pilot failed to maintain adequate awareness while taxiing for takeoff. FAR 91.13 - pilot failed to operate his aircraft on the surface of an airport in a manner that would not cause damage to the property of another
