From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Near destination aus declared low fuel state. Tried for field. Hit wires and house. Fuel tanks were empty. (-23) pilot stated that he checked fuel on board prior to departing addison airport (adt) by removing the filler caps and could "see fuel in the tanks." There was a very slight amount of fuel leakage from the aircraft (a few drops) after it came to rest on the roof of the building. Upon removal from the building another examination of the fuel tanks revealed they were empty.
