From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: during landing at mqy, runway 14/32 at 1620 local, a student pilot conducted a normal three point landing, a loud rubbing noise was heard. The aircraft began veering to the right and the student applied full left rudder. After the aircraft did not respond the instructor tapped the left brake to help realign the aircraft with the centerline, simultaneously the student added a boost of power. The aircraft nose over and the propeller and right wingtip struck the runway surface. The propeller, right wing tip and engine mounts were damaged. There were no injuries. An inspection of the aircraft, by an airframe and powerplant mechanic, found that the goodyear mechanical disk brakes were missing a brake lining puck on the right outside wheel. The filing of this report will close this incident, no further action required.
