From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: as I was flying east to west towards Arlington I noticed another aircraft approaching from the west towards the base leg. I made a call that I was going to cross over mid-field. The other aircraft made no response. I made another call over mid-field that I was going to enter down-wind. The other aircraft still made no response. I made a call that I was entering down-wind. As I turned on down-wind, the other aircraft still made no response. I noticed he was further out than a normal base leg. I went ahead and made my call and was still unsure the intentions of the other aircraft. I turned final and made my approach to land, and forgot to put the gear down.
