From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft was on a two mile final and cleared to land. Crew selected 35 degree flaps from 17 degree when aircraft began abrupt roll to the right about 15-20 degrees. The first officer who was flying the aircraft, indicates he countered to roll with left control input where he felt like it jammed and then broke free. A loud pop was heard when this was encountered. Some rudder and full aileron deflection was needed in order to keep wings level for landing. Aircraft landed without further incident. Post inspection of the aircraft found that the right hand, outboard flap, inboard bearing had seized and was torn out of the flap cavity. The outboard edge of the flap and inboard edge of the aileron exhibited evidence of gouging.
