From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: at approximately 1930 local time, shree bhattarai landed on runway 19L at riverside airport (srvs). As he taxied down the runway he saw the blue lights of taxi-way tango (along the north side of runway 31), and mistaking them for taxi-way kilo, he started his turn before the taxi-way lining up on those lights. As he reached an angle 90 degrees to runway 19L his landing light illuminated the grass area west of the runway. When he noticed what had happened and saw the grass ahead of him, he tried to sharpen his turn to the left using the left brake but was unable to prevent the right main landing gear from exiting the runway. The landing gear became stuck in the soft earth and he was unable to move. Dictated to jason hogue and kevin r. murphy (2130: 2/27/97)
