From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: N9143U landed rwy 07L-MKE @ 1930 LCL time. A.t. cleared 43U to taxi to west ramp. 43U departed rwy 07L prior to taxiway "e" struck manhole cover with prop. This occurred on the north side of rwy 07L. According to the pilot in an interview it appeared to be the proper path to taxi the a/c clear of the runway. The lighting at that area provides for no transitional lighting from rwy to taxiway.
