From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: just after rotation, the crew heard and felt a sound similar to a compressor stall. Aircraft yawed and no. 2 engine reading dropped with no spiking of EGT, N1 or N2 indications. The crew stated there was no fire warning indication, and no. 2 hydraulic system was inoperable. After landing and stopping on runway 27, the crew was notified by the fire captain that there was a fire in the no. 2 engine. An investigation was conducted on the engine by Continental propulsion engineering, NTSB, and FAA. The results of the inspection/investigation are still pending from the NTSB.
