From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the student pilot was doing solo practice takeoffs and landings at his airport of instruction. He had completed three touch and go landings without incident and had requested the next one to be his last to a full stop. On short final he asked for a wind check and was told the wind was 190/12KTS. When he touched down he bounced and began a series of pilot induced oscillations. On the third touchdown the aircraft knocked down a taxiway sign on the west side of delta taxiway and came to rest on its nose. An airworthiness inspector from the lgb FSDO inspected the aircraft and determined the damage to be minor. Both the flight instructor and the student pilot were contacted and counseled regarding this incident.
