What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: the flight was a repositioning flight flown under 14 CFR part 91 and conducted in day VFR conditions. Each pilot occupied their respective duty positions, however the first officer was manipulating the flight controls during the flight portion and taxi poriton of this leg. There were no other persons onboard during this flight. After completing his landing roll, the first officer taxied into the ramp area via the parallel taxiway. During this time they were running the "after landing" checklist. The taxiway makes a right turn and parallels the runway. It was at this time that the first officer dropped the right landing gear off the right side of the hard surfaced taxiway. The main gear sunk into the soft turf and the aircraft was disabled. There was minor damage done to the wheel and brake assembly. Maintenance personnel were dispatched to the airport for initial repairs. A ferry permit was required to be issued to the crew so they could fly it to their maintenance facility for inspection prior to a return to service authorization. A counseling session took place with the director of operations, director of training and crew. The company has already taken action to change their procedures regarding when and when not to run checklists, how to use checklists, the challenge and response system of running checklists and how to assure that there is always one crewmember looking outside at all times. Company bulletins have already been disseminated to all crews. Additionally, a "topic" of monthly emphasis items is being developed for mass distribution. Manual changes will be forthcoming.
