From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. Narrative: on April 18, 1997, at 06:20 local, a Piper arrow iv operated by adventure aviation as a rental aircraft and piloted by Robert d. carroll, sustained minor damage during landing at Austin Robert Mueller airport when the right main gear collapsed at touchdown. The flight originated IFR from mobile, Alabama enroute to san marcos, Texas. Additionally, he noticed several circuit breakers tripped which he was unable to reset. At that time, he changed his destination to Austin and extended the gear utilizing the emergency extension procedures. The instrument rated private pilot and his passenger were not injured. Capitol aero of Austin, Texas repaired the damage. The maintenance department was unable to duplicate the landing gear problem or determine the reason for circuit breaker trip. The landing gear was inspected and cycled numerous times including use of the emergency extension system with normal results.
