From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Bounced nose high from hard landing wing stalled and hit runway. Aircraft cartwheeled into soft field . Too slow. (-23) eyewitness observed aircraft make what appeared to be a hard landing followed by aircraft becoming airborne in nose high altitude. Left wing dropped, contacted runway, and aircraft veered to left then cartwheeled off of airport in plowed field. Runway in use: 29. Wind reported as 34008KT. Aircraft is a s.t.o.l. type. Estimated landing speed approximately 40 knots. In my opinion, crosswind aggravated a near stall condition causing left wing to drop. Effective flight control response was lost and aircraft became uncontrollable.
