What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Premature liftoff, settled back, bounced and lost directional control leaving runway and colliding with runway sign. (-23) pilot became prematurely airborne in ground effect. Aircraft returned to runway and high sink rate induced a series of three bounces. After third bounce the pilot lost directional control approximately 35 degrees left of runway heading. Aircraft struck taxiway sign which further yawed the aircraft an additional 90 degrees to the left and concurrently sheared off nose wheel. Aircraft skidded through grass and across taxiway a total distance of 250 feet, then yawed an additional 90 degrees left and came to rest. Pilot was uninjured.
