From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot on a pleasure flight with two passengers (family members) decided to do a touch-and-go at the North Omaha Airport (3NO). Investigation revealed he touched down very hard halfway down a 2400 ft runway at a high rate of speed. Skid marks were evident and the pilot decided to go around and lift off, then changed his mind because of the remaining runway. This touchdown was firm and the aircraft rolled off the runway end, through a bean field, and came to rest on a road. There was damage to the nose gear, left and right wings, and the fuselage between the engine firewall and cabin. There were no injuries to the occupants. privacy data omitted This incident is closed with this report.
