What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: Mr. Brown apparently landed long on a wet grass, un-lighted runway after or about sunset. Darkness prevented Mr. Brown from knowing that he landed long. He did not have enough room to stop. Heavy braking was not effective enough to stop the aircraft in the remaining runway length. Airman misjudged touchdown point on runway due to reduced visibility (darkness) and no runway lighting.
