From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the helicopter struck a wire while on approach to a car accident site. A medical crew member saw the wire and shouted "wire". The pilot initiated a go-around. The pilot was not sure if they actually struck the wire. He did not feel anything in the controls and decided to go back to the hospital pad. The pad is elevated and located in downtown fargo (ten minute flight). The flight and landing at the pad were uneventful. The approach at the scene was to the west. The sun, at 6:18 p.m., was approximately 30 degrees above the horizon. privacy data omitted Far's are involved in that the airman did not follow his air carrier procedures.
