From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: N75226 a PA-34-200T being operated by block island airlines, a FAR part 135 operator, was enroute from block island, RI (bid) to martha's vineyard, MA (mvy). When the pilot selected gear down he received an unsafe nose gear indication. Boston ARTCC suggested he land at Otis Angb(fmh) due to a manned control tower and crash, fire, rescue. Pilot made two low passes by Otis tower who confirmed that the nose gear was not down, and the main gear appeared to be down and locked. The aircraft subsequently landed with the nose gear retracted and slid down the runway about 1400 feet before coming to a stop just off the paved runway edge. The pilot and passenger safely egressed the aircraft.
