From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Throttle stuck on ultralight. Landed short of runway in rough ground. Nosed over. (-23) a three minute ultralight flight ended after aircraft made a hard landing on a rough grass field just short of runway. An interview with operator revealed a problem with the engine throttle. Pilot experienced insufficient RPM to power aircraft to the runway touchdown point. Aircraft landed about 300 feet short, bounced, right wing dipped and hit surface, aircraft flipped over. Owner/operator received minor cut to head. No major structural damage to aircraft.
