From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft was removed from the field and taken to Hillsboro municipal airport (M66). It was found, when the battery master was turned on that both fuel quantity indicators indicated "zero". Both left and right fuel caps were removed and no fuel was visible in either fuel tank. All available fuel was drained into a container from the main fuel screen. There was approximately two to three tablespoons of fuel remaining in the aircraft. The pilot had landed off the airport in a farm field after the engine stopped. The aircraft received minor damage, but the pilot and passenger were uninjured.
