From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft took-off & landed several times at Bayport aerodome (23N). Then on the third landing (rwy 36), the main gear collapsed, causing thepropeller to strike the ground & shatter. There were no injuries to the two occupants of the aircraft. It was towed to the main hangar (d'angelone aviation) so that the runway could be re-opened. Later, in a signed statement received from Mr. Jennings (PIC),he indicated that the incident was caused by his failure to add power in time to arrest the aircraft's sink rate. privacy data omitted
