From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: while in level flight (700 feet asl) the pilot heard a loud bang from the rear of the aircraft. The pilot verified engine had suit by turbine outlet temp. And gas producer. RPM was zero. The pilot performed successful autorotation to water and exited the aircraft. The aircraft eventually rolled over and was further damaged on recovery. Tear down inspection of the turbine verified first stage turbine wheel burst, which was contained by the containment ring assembly with evidence of damage to the gas producer support due to deformation of the containment ring.
