From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Acft was flying low and struck trees and crashed into a pond. Pilot suffered fatal inj. Eudora, AR. (.4)witnesses observed the aircraft maneuvering at about 1,500 to 2,500 feet. One witness reported the aircraft appeared as though it was going to do a 'loop;' however, it 'stalled.' At one point it looked as though the aircraft would just roll out and continue flying, but the 'right wing appeared to stall' and the aircraft entered into 'an inverted flat spin.' At about 200 to 300 feet AGL, the aircraft nosed over to a more vertical position at which time the aircraft went behind some trees. A witness reported that the 'engine never stopped running.' No anomalies were found with the airframe or engine that would have prevented normal operation. (-23) air tractor, AT-502B, N6093U, departed hensley flying service strip, near Eudora, Arkansas, on a FAR 91 flight at approximately 1430 hours local time. The aircraft was doing maneuvers in the area; while executing maneuvers, the aircraft encountered a flat spin, went inverted, and impacted into a stock pond approximately one mile south of Eudora, AR. The aircraft was destroyed, and the pilot sustained fatal injuries.
