From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: upon approaching airport for landing, landing gear would not extend by normal means or using emergency extension procedures aircraft landed gear up with only minor damage and no injuries. Hydraulic reservoir was found to be low on fluid. When fluid was added, landing gear was pumped down per emergency extension procedures. Checking hydraulic fluid level is not listed in normal pre-flight check list. However, is discussed in expanded procedures section of pilots operating handbook. The cause of loss of landing gear hydraulic fluid will be determined during the repairs to aircraft. No determination made as of this date (3-4-98). Follow-up of cause will be by Fresno FSDO a/w inspector lewis l. brown, who has made initial contact with repair facility.
