From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on down wind leg for a landing at Dallas Love Field, the pilot lost all electrical power. Emergency extension of the landing gear was accomplished. The pilot stated that he was not sure about the landing gear position for he had no position lights due to electrical failure. The tower gave the pilot a green and he landed on 13L and the nose gear collapsed damaging the nose gear door and propeller. A follow-up inspection will be completed to determine nose gear failure to lock in the down position.
