From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot stated that he had lined up parallel to runway 22 at Falcon field in Mesa, AZ the pilot and instructor in the Cessna 150 were lined up perpendicular to runway 22 directly in front of the Piper. The pilot of the Piper stated that while he was holding the parking brake with his feet he was looking down in the cockpit reaching for the preflight check list. The aircraft then began to roll into the Cessna striking the Cessna in the left aileron with the left propeller of the Piper. The Cessna was only slightly damaged while no damage was found on the Piper. The pilot of the Piper had failed to maintain control of his aircraft as stated by the pilot to the FAA inspector. Pilot had a good compliance attitude and was very cooperative to the inspector. The pilot noted that better cockpit organization before taxi out would be in order.
