From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the aircraft was landing on runway 18 when on touchdown the aircraft bounced and departed the runway to the left and into the grass. Aircraft taxied back onto the runway and was parked on the ramp. There were no injuries. When the pilot exited the aircraft he noticed damage to the propeller assembly. Maintenance found both propeller blade tips and nose wheel fairing damaged. The airport manager found three prop strikes on the runway about an inch deep and right wheel skid marks at the location where the aircraft landed and departed the runway. Maintenance removed the propeller assembly and performed a runout check of the crankshaft. There were no discrepancies found and a serviceable prop was installed. The aircraft was ferried back to ict for inspection of the engine per AD 91-14-22. The flying club has prohibited Mr. Vieth from using any club aircraft until he has passed a minimum of one hour ground instruction and two hours of flight instruction from a certified flight instructor.
