From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The flight originated from the Jasper County Airport, at 1630 EDT. The pilot reported he made a "normal" approach to runway 27. The gyroplane then touched down hard and rolled over. (-23) the aircraft executed a normal approach. The pilot flared too much resulting in extremely high nose pitch altitude. Main rotor blades contacted the surface after a hard landing. Pilot attempted recovery. Aircraft experienced dynamic roll over. No passengers. No injuries.
