What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On June 19, 1998, at 0630 CDT, a Grumman Schweizer G-164B, agricultural airplane, N3632S, was substantially damaged during a forced landing, following the loss of engine power while maneuvering 1 1/2 miles NE of Hazen, Arkansas. The commercial pilot, sole occupant of the airplane, was not injured. The airplane was owned and operated by Hazen flying service inc. (hvfg) under title 14 CFR part 137. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the local aerial application flight for which a flight plan was not filed. Aircraft was dispensing herbicide to a rice field in local area when the engine lost power. During forced landing, the aircraft sustained structural damage after initial impact with large trees; 12 gallons of fertilizer were on board and there was fuel leaking from the wings. Aircraft rested between several trees, 20 feet above the terrain, heading about north-northeast and banked over about 60 degrees left. Engine will be inspected by NTSB for malfunction. Tip of prop sent to lab for inspection which was found 300 yards.
