From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After takeoff from pbf at 11:30AM CDT on an avionics varification flight, a leak occurred at the pressure outlet port tee fitting on the hydraulic/electric power pack. The leak was the result of the failure of a flare on a #4 aluminum hydraulic line leading from the aft port of the tee to a hydraulic pressure gage previously installed in the aircraft. The flare was old, and had been extruded through the sleeve of its "b" nut by hydraulic pressure. The leak discharged the contents of the reservoir into the aircraft cabin, exhausting the supply of hydraulic fluid. The pilot immediately attempted to extend the landing gear, and was successful in extending the NLG. The pilot operated the aircraft for four hours in order to burn off as much fuel as possible. Both the pilot and an avionics tech onboard the aircraft attempted to repair the leak, with no success, the aircraft executed an emergency landing at lit at 3:30 pm CDT with the NLG down and the MLG trailing in the intrasit position, resulting in no injuries and only minor damage, this report closes this incident

As the FAA filed it
