From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Acft attempted to abort takeoff, struck a fence and caught on fire. (-23) normal takeoff from field with about 1300 feet useable. Pilot aborted takeoff because he was uncomfortable with the look of the takeoff roll. He felt a jolt after the airplane just came airborne and elected to terminated the takeoff because of his proximity to oak trees on the takeoff path. He ground looped the airplane to avoid the trees. After exiting the airplane they noticed that a fire had started. The fire destroyed the airplane.
